3 differences between THC and CBD

THC and CBD , two canabinoids that are both found in the Cannabis Sativa L. plant, but both completely different in effect. THC, for example, is a psychoactive substance that causes it to get high . Unlike THC, there is CBD. CBD is a non-psychoactive substance. So you don’t get high or stoned from using CBD. Because there is a lot of confusion when it comes to the differences between CBD and THC, we will discuss in this article what the 3 largest and most important differences between CBD and THC are. We will also tell you a little more about why there is so much confusion today between the two substances.

1. CBD does not make you high or stoned

THC is one of the best known cannabinoids when it comes to getting high or stoned. For example, products sold in coffee shops almost always contain a large amount of THC. Unlike THC, CBD is completely different. CBD is not psychoactive. So you don’t get high or stoned from using CBD.

CBD is a substance that does not alter consciousness, making it safe for everyone to use . CBD is both a supportive substance during the day and a natural tranquilizer. A very widely applicable nutritional supplement. young and old. CBD is a substance that is becoming increasingly popular when it comes to supporting our health. CBD is nowadays used by a very large number of people. One uses CBD to support health, the other uses CBD when exercising

2. CBD is legal, THC is illegal

In the Netherlands, THC is prohibited by law. Although the sale and use of THC is tolerated in coffee shops, THC is prohibited by law. On the other hand, CBD is legal anyway. The reason THC is prohibited is because THC causes a stoned or high feeling (see point 1. for more information). CBD, on the other hand, is completely legal and can therefore be sold freely anywhere. You can therefore buy safe and trusted CBD oil , without it being illegal. Tip: check out the range of high-quality CBD products!

3. CBD is extracted from a different type of plant.

The prohibited substance THC (Cannabis) is extracted from the female Cannabis plant. The female Cannabis plant is rich in the psychoactive substance THC and is therefore used for growing weed, for example . On the other hand, CBD is extracted from the male Cannabis plant, also known as the hemp plant. This male Cannabis plant contains almost no THC but a lot of CBD. That is why the hemp plant can be grown freely in the Netherlands. One of the largest hemp fields in the Netherlands is located in the north of the Netherlands, in Oude-Pekela.
